Miodrag T. Zarić is a martial arts teacher and ceramicist born in Serbia in 1957. He finished high school in Bijeljina in 1976, and then enrolled in School of Dentistry in Belgrade and studied until 1981.

He began teaching Karate when he was 16 years old. He trained with famous and well-known teachers, as well as others that were only known to him.

With his wife and four children, he lives in the Capital city of Australia, Canberra.

Zaric’s work is based mainly on the traditional principles of art skills. He is the author of three studies: “Ki Energy in Traditional Karate” (Ljubljana 1993), “Kata Path or Goal” (Sydney 1998) and “Teacher of Traditional Karate Today and Yesterday” (Sydney 1999). In Belgrade in 2011, Zarić published his first book, “Meikyo kan” (House of Clear Mirrors – a book about the school in which the mirror must always be bright).

From the very beginning, he was interested and involved in intensive training of the coaching aspect of his Art. With his blue belt in 1975, The National Karate coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina team Salko Ćurić, recognised him as the youngest and most successful coach of the year.
